Carter Dewees is a sports broadcaster and journalist based in New Haven, Connecticut. He calls games for Yale University on ESPN+ and for the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) for the Northeast Sports Network. Carter has experience broadcasting football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, ice hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and swim and dive.
He spent three years as Director of Sports Broadcasting at Yale's WYBC, where he led live coverage across football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball while managing and training the next generation of student broadcasters. His experience includes a season with the High Point-Thomasville HiToms, where he handled play-by-play broadcasting and in-game production for the HiToms of the Coastal Plain League.
Carter has reported for the Yale Daily News and WSHU Public Radio, an NPR affiliate, and has covered stories ranging from local New Haven news to international topics. He also hosts and produces the March to March podcast, a weekly show reporting on Ivy League basketball.
